Common questions
When do I get charged as a student?
Your card is authorised at the point of booking but only charged after your lesson completes. If you cancel more than 12 hours in advance, no charge is made.
When do tutors receive their payout?
Tutors receive their payout automatically within 1–2 business days of a lesson completing, direct to their connected Stripe account.
Is there a free trial or introductory lesson?
Tutors can offer a discounted first session at their own discretion. There's no platform-enforced free trial.
What if my tutor cancels?
You'll receive a full refund within 5–10 business days if your tutor cancels.
Does Tutorvine take VAT on top of the 20%?
The 20% fee is inclusive of VAT where applicable. There are no additional charges on top.
